Abs Workout


I had a whole different workout planned for today but since my new toy The Pink Lebert got here I had to change everything around – and it was fun! You don’t have to use the equipment I am using, you can substitute it with chairs, I will show you how :).

Today’s workout was at a very good pace, and it was 18 minutes long. I stayed very consistent with my reps. It’s very important that your reps don’t’ drop too low ( from first to last round ), if they do, shorten the max interval.

Workout explanation

Set your timer Gymboss Max for 2 rounds of 15 seconds ( rest time ) and 45 seconds ( max effort ), for the total of 18 rounds. There is 5 exercises but 1 of them is done on each side. You will go through the routine 3 times.

I am using an 8 lb ( non bouncy ) medicine ball ( you can find one for about 10 dollars, but you have to really look, cause I’ve seen them some medicine balls for as much as 60-80 which is crazy numbers for a little ball, LOL ).

Never sacrifice your form for speed.


The exercises

  • 1. Two prisoner low jacks & jump up ( this counts as one rep )
Notes:  Start with you feet wide apart and your hands behind your head.  You will do 2 low jacks, then grab the medicine ball and jump up, raising the medicine ball over your head simultaneously.  Always land on the balls of your feet.
  • 2. Vertical Row

Notes: For this exercise you can use two chairs and a broom stick. The picture is below. I use to do this all the time.

  • 3. Split Squat & pulse ( on each side )

  • 4. Dips

Notes: For this exercise you can use a two chairs, the picture is below.

  • 5. Twist tucks

Notes: In this exercise you have to pull the knee as high and to the side as you can, while squeezing your abs. You can also use a chair for this exercise, the picture is below.

    even year didnt pass and there are so many plety of comments everyday under your workouts…. compared to this workout uploaded not so long ago just in September… isnt that marvelous, Girl? I believe you are happy 🙂

  • I’m happy I started with the newer videos with tutorials. Already knowing the proper form of the exercises really help me with the older videos. For warm up I did 2 rounds of the following
    25 butt kicks – 25 jumping jacks – 25 squats – 25 heismans – 25 knee push ups – 25 side to side lunge – 2 mins skipping.
    5 minutes dynamic stretch.
    My scores:
    1. 9-9-8 (10lbs med ball)
    2. 13-13-12 (Dip Station)
    3. 16-15-15 (Right Leg) 15-15-15 (Left Leg) 10lbs med ball
    4. 16-16-14 (Dip Station)
    5. 28-24-25
    Cardio: 15 secs rest 45 sec max interval for 18 rounds.
    High knees jump rope: 68-69-59-60-65-68-65-57-54
    Feet together /rope backward: 60-55-61-59-50-55-59-50-60
    Cool down and stretching 10 mins.

  • Kane

    An oldie but a goodie! Much tougher than it looks. I substituted chinups for the vertical rows and did the twist tucks with hands on a medicine ball. This is great for maximum bang for time buck!

    • My old routines are so fun! I’ve been looking through them lately, and I’m gonna start doing them again.
