Raw Cacao – Amazing Super Food

Healthy, Healthy Foods

Cocoa beans and Raw Cacao Powder is one of the most nutrient rich and complex foods. For thousands of years, ancient Mayans and ancient Aztecs have known about the amazing healing properties of the raw chocolate and they have used it in their daily cultural rituals, as well healing. Raw Cacao is so amazing, that the whole compound of cacao beans hasn’t even been discovered.
Cacao is the highest whole food source of magnesium.  Out of all the whole foods that contain antioxidants, Raw chocolate is the highest in the world, more than red wine, green tea and blueberries combined.  Unlike regular chocolate, Raw Cacao’s benefits and nutrients are preserved, because it is not being heated.  When you are eating a regular chocolate, the antioxidants are almost gone, the reason for that is the way it is processed.

Cacao raises Endorphins, and promotes a healthy exchange of neurotransmitters, such as seratonin.  Our hormones are always out of whack, cacao helps to keep that problem in check. It is a true Super food 🙂

Because of it’s high levels of Magnesium, Cacao helps regulate your metabolism.  Magnesium also increases brain power, helps to energize muscles and builds strong bones. But you have to make sure, the Cacao you are buying is Raw and organic.   Either Cacao Beans or Powder, ( NOT the Sugary kind you see in regular markets, but the real kind you can only find in health food stores )

It is very high in anti-oxidants, which help you fight free radicals and infections, it also has a lot of minerals.  Like Iron, which is a critical mineral in nutrition as it forms part of the hemoglobin molecule.  Hemoglobin is responsible for binding to oxygen in the blood and transporting it around the body. Cacao contains high levels of iron.  Research by David Wolfe have led him to state that cacao contains 314% of the recommended daily intake of iron per 28 gram serving.

It is also really good for your skin because it contains Sulfur, a mineral that builds strong nails, hair and promotes beautiful skin, as it helps to detoxify the liver.

This is going to be another Super Food that I will be including into my daily nutrition.  I was lucky enough to grab the last bag of Raw Cacao they had today.  It always seems to be out of stock ( I think because secret about the benefits of Raw Cacao is coming out ).  I want to be able to live as healthy as I can so I am on a journey to discover all the super foods the planet has to offer.

Do you know any super foods that you can recommend?  I would love to know, leave me a comment 🙂

I happen to be currently munching on my raw cocoa beans right now! I love them! They are also said to be an appetite suppressant and I find that munching on these stops me from snacking between meals.

So raw cacao is what I’m getting(going to buy).

I think hemp seeds are super.

Seeds of the plant cannabis sativa, hemp seed, contain all the essential
amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life.
No other single plant source has the essential amino acids in such an easily
digestible form, nor has the essential fatty acids in as perfect a ratio to meet
    human nutritional needs.   sourced:    http://www.ratical.org/renewables/hempseed1.html

    • I am going to buy me some hemp seeds, I’ve been reading so much about them lately. I love how you always attach the source of the info :). Thank you

Definitely try the raw cacao, I love it so much. I’ve been making so many raw chocolate snacks with it as well as adding it to my smoothies and coffee, it is now a must fore me :).

  • Loving this website. You mentioned goat milk. I have never tried it, as I find almond milk(vanilla, unsweetened) to be yummy and less expensive. I do love goat yogurt though. It tastes like regular plain yogurt but better and better for you. Tastes less tart with a hint of goat cheese flavor.
