Hello My Lovies,

Happy Monday!  I hope you are having happy and sunny day full of positivity :) , welcome to the 30th edition of Monday Mingle a question answer game we play every Monday to get to know each other better and have fun.  Each week I ask 5 questions and we all get to answer them and mingle around.

This week’s quote:

” The opposite of love is not hate.  The opposite of love is fear. “

I found this quote browsing one of my Like pages on Facebook , this quote made me almost stop my thoughts for a second and I thought, Wow this is totally right from all of my life’s understandings. Because in reality we only have two emotions Love and Fear.  If you go through life with the feeling of Love, you will always be a happy and positive person.  Fear on the other hand can really get us trapped inside of our own mind.

My Answer:

Yes I do, my absolute favorite band is actually 3 bands with the same singer Maynard James Keenan. It’s Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.

 

Q – What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?

My Answer:

I cannot live without my electric toothbrush! Everything else I can completely go without.

 

Q – What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )

My Answer: 

I am working on being more organized. This has always been a problem of mine, I’m doing much better then I used to be, but sometimes I still feel like a child when it comes to being organized.

 

Q – If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to and why?

My Answer:

I would teleport to my childhood while I was visiting my grandfather in Ukraine, picking yellow cherries off the trees of our summer house ( Dacha as we call it in Russia ), such amazing memories I have of those days!

Summers were one of the most funnest and incredible times for me, because it was the only time I would take time off from skating and school. Usually my childhood days were filled 7 days a week and I never really played with other kids or did anything fun. But when I went to Ukraine for the summer all I did was play and relax.

 

Q – If you could become an object what would you be and why?

My Answer:

I would be a painting. Because paintings live forever and they bring joy and inspiration to many people.

    I’ve been reading these ever since the 1st one you put up and always knew I would one day join in on the fun … :) So here I am … :)

    Do you have an absolute favorite band?
    I don’t really have an absolute all time favorite band but when I was a kid the 1st money I saved up I spent it on all the records Bon Jovi ever made, so to make my childhood dreams come true I went to see them live 2 years ago and I really like his energy so I’ll go with Bon Jovi on this one even though I’m not familiar with their current work .. :)

    What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?
    I cannot decide between my juicer and my blender on this one.. :) I’ll go with my juicer .. I love it .. :) :)

    What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )
    I have 2: Finishig law university and getting certified as a personal trainer. :) Opposite ends of the spectrum but if you have your heart in the right place then both can be used to help people. :)

    If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?
    Definitely a spa/welness type of place for my boyfriend and me .. :) We deserve some pampering time since we’re always working … :)

    If you could become an object what would you be and why?
    A book, one of those classic novels people will always talk about, draw inspiration from and be inspired by … I love books .. It is my dream to write one in my life but so far short stories are the closest I’ve come to that dream .. :)

    Good morning everybody :)

    1. My absolute favorite band, for a while now, is Depeche Mode. I missed their last tour because the concert got canceled, and now I am counting the days till the 12th of May ;)

    2. I couldn’t live without my blender and food processor I recently discovered how much I love cooking and I use this appliance all the time.

    3. At the moment, I am working on improving my cooking skills and my nutrition in general.

    4. I would teleport myself on a mountain where it is spring. I just love forests, fresh air and spring. The sound of the forest is perfect in spring.

    5. I would be a guitar. I love the shape and sound of this instrument. I also love the way it is being held by the neck while being played.

      OHH yes I also love Depeche Mode, they are extremely talented, the music, the lyrics and the lead’s singers voice is incredible!

    Good morning :-)

    1. My favorite band at this moment is Triggerfinger from Belgium. My alltime favorite though is U2.

    2. I couldn’t live without my water boiler (is it called like that?!). I use it to heat water for my coffee and because coffee is essential, the boiler is essential as well. We take it to vacations as well, even camping, if we have electricity.

    3. I’m working on losing weight, saving my marriage and I want to run a marathon (my second) in May.

    4. I would teleport myself anywhere where’s warm because I’m tired of this bleak winter. Fiji would be good :-)

    5. I would be a coffee mug. A nice colorful one with dots.

      3.goal…well in a past year I am working hard on one goal, I wen’t back to school, and started a new job after 10 years, and today I made first step up..by the end of the year I will take over some groups and train them, so my life today is all about that..(for you that don’t know I started to train some “new” kind of workouts, and I am studying to be a “body instructor”..)

    Hi guys! Mingling :)

    Do you have a favourite band? Not really, I like lots of different music.

    House appliance you can’t live without? I would like to think I wouldn’t die without any of them, lol. I do like my magic bullet for my smoothies and a frying pan and stove for my eggs, and my crockpot for cooking dinners so they are ready when you get home, I don’t feel super attached to any of them.

    What goal are you working toward? Trying to loose a little more fat to get rid of the last of my roll. I’m guessing another 10 – 15lbs.

    Where would you teleport yourself to? Gerri Lee’s dungeon! Or someplace sunny and warm for my workouts and then back again!

    If you could become an object what would it be? Sorry, got nothing for this one!

    It’s my first time to mingle with you, but I’m reading your answers every week, so why not posting for the first time here!? :)

    Do you have an absolute favorite band?
    At the moment not really. I like many bands and music styles. Music that gives you a good mood and the desire to dance is the best for me.

    What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?
    phew… I dont know, there are many appliances I’m using every day. But I think it’s my laptop I could not live without.

    What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )
    My goal is (since over 10 years now :( ) to combat my eating disorder (bulimia), which is very bad at the moment and I’ve lost control about it and have a big struggle with myself and my eating! The main reason about that is, that my boyfriend suffers also from this and I don’t want to lose him because of this disorder!!!! At the same point I want to lose fat and get healthy.

    If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?
    To my childhood when I was happy overall, without having fears oder something like that. I think I wish I could be 5 or 6 years again, where I was sooo happy and without a care in the world.

    If you could become an object what would you be and why?
    hm.. never thought about this before, but if I have to give an answer then it would be maybe a mirror. A mirror, because you can see the emotions of people watching at you (the mirror ;) ) and maybe you can influence them and making them more self-confident.
    Okayyy.. this was my first monday mingle with you guys. I’m looking forward to the next one.

    #4) Caribbean :) and the best would be on a sailing boat to cruise from island to island :)

    These are hard questions… mhm! :) Very interesting though!!

    1. Do you have an absolute favorite band?

    Oh I’ve had so many throughout the years, and I still love them, it wasn’t just a crush. I’m not sure I could pick one right now. Besides, my tastes are so diverse that wouldn’t really mean that much in the sense that I cannot identify with just one single band… But lately I’ve been quite in love with Fleetwood Mac, the McVies/Nicks/Buckingham era.

    2. What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?

    That’d be my hairdryer!!! My hair (or should I say, mane) takes ages to dry otherwise…

    3. What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )

    Passing my English exams (with good marks). I can see mistakes here and there after I post some replies so… let’s hope for the best anyway hah!

    4. If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?

    Of all places, to see a very dear friend.

    5. If you could become an object what would you be and why?

    Tricky question! Hmmm. I’m not thinking about being “useful”, I already have experimented that feeling and it’s not always a good thing. Perhaps a diamond ring. Would be cherished and loved and not easily gotten rid of, that’s for sure :P And most of the time would be left alone to just be and exist.

    great questions this week! ok gotta be quick before work lol no favorite band for me, i l truly listen to all music from classical to hard rock and even nature when doing yoga, depends on my mood. I cannot live without my “turbonator” blender, love making veggie smoothies! my goal at this time is working on staying positive even in bad situations, i tend to get upset easily and this makes me think of other upsetting things (unnecessary negativity that often has nothing to do with the situation at hand). i would teleport myself to the beautiful beaches of the islands…nothing beats that intense heat on the body. are you Ukranian or Russian Tati? i love love your object answer, then you could watch people watching you! i will pick a bench in the park…so many secrets exchanged, so much love spoken, so many lies uttered…and i could give a little “hug” when needed! have a great day!

    1) Do you have an absolute favorite band?
    I love Mike Oldfield… he is an individual artist, but he hardly performs on his own, so… and Queen, of course. Queen. Forever :) ))

    2) What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?
    My oven. I need it. I am addicted to it :D I have never been a great chef in the kitchen, but for the past 6 months I think I improved a lot and I loooove cooking, baking, roasting, poaching, grilling, broiling…. I need my oven!!!

    3) What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )
    My ultimate goal is to BE HAPPY. That is all I always wanted. It consists of a few things, to me being happy is: being healthy, physically and mentally strong, loved and love in return. I am working on the second one right now, the others I have pretty much covered ;)

    4) If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?
    Hm… difficult question… if that teleport was a time machine at the same time, I would love to be 10 years old again in my grandmothers house. But just teleport… I guess somewhere warm ;) Seychels for example :D

    5) If you could become an object what would you be and why?
    Rubic’s cube. Definitely Rubic’s cube. Cause I would get people frustrated but still they would not be able to leave me alone :D

    It’s been so long since I’ve done a Monday Mingle, but I’m procrastinating at work today, so let’s do it! :)

    1. Avenged Sevenfold.

    2. Refrigerator. I think I could make do without everything else, but down in Texas you can’t build a root cellar, so it’s really hard to keep things cool.

    3. Becoming more self-sufficient. My goal for the spring and summer is to start a garden that I plan to keep up year-round. I think knowing how to grow and save your own food is such a valuable skill, and I hope it saves me money on groceries too.

    4. Switzerland. I envy their liberty, and it I could pick up everything and move there I’d do it.

    5. This one is tough because I’ve never really thought about it. I really like being human and I don’t think I’d want to be anything else. But that’s not answering the question. :P If I had to choose something, I think I’d like to be a tree. They’re beautiful, provide shelter to critters and spend their time soaking up the sun. I love the sun… and if someone chopped me down I’d hope that I’d become a book, or part of a home.

    1.) I don’t have time for music like I used to, but back in the day it was DURAN DURAN!
    2.) I use my blendtec everyday, but the washing machine died a few weeks ago and it was a NIGHTMARE! Definitely don’t want to do that again!
    3.) I am working on being more helpful to others, and getting rid on that last bit of stomach fat/skin.
    4.) The BEACH! Or at least somewhere warm where I could grow a garden too.
    5.) Hard one, but I’ll go with a Bible. In order to help others.

    **** I would teleport myself into another place of the world, In a place where the outdoor parks are made of pure fun, ppl exercicing , kids running @ , ppl laughing, picnics on the grass.     haha…funny questions! For the first time I’m stumped!

    Do you have an absolute favorite band?
    Mmmm…no, I don’t. I have some favorites, but I never get really into one band…when I was a teenager, it was The Cranberries. Now, I like various thigns, but some I like a lot right now are The Black Keys and Sublime…but I would by no means say either is an absolute favorite.

    What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?
    Probably my food processor!

    What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )

    How to have absolute confidence in myself, no matter what the circumstances. I place a lot of my confidence in the hands of other people’s judgment, and I’m trying to set myself free of that.

    If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?

    Hmmm…I would like to be at Cinque Terre. I miss Italy so much, and while I almost said Padova, where I lived for about 4 months, I love the ease of the countryside.

    If you could become an object what would you be and why?

    Does a living thing count? If so, a tree. If not…I don’t know…I don’t think there is any object I would want to be. If I had a gun to my head and had to choose, though, maybe a child’s well-loved stuffed animal? Or a book?

    good afternoon :) )))))) slept in till almost 10 am today !!!!!!!!! love it..so here goes

    1/ absolute favorite band ? hmmmmmm….love lots of music, but would have to say that if I was trapped on a desert island with an unending supply of batteries to play music, it would have to be the Rolling Stones

    2/ Appliance I could not live with out? ooooooohhhhhh…toughy………lol……think it would be my dish washer though, I love to cook and so does my husband, but i really hate washing dishes……plus I take all of my own food to work, takes an entire back pack, I eat twice at work, so the entire top of the dishwasher is full of tupperware every day……..Tee does the same thing………tons of plastic ware to wash

    3/ One goal I’m working on? Not sure, I’m always striving to improve my health, my fitness, my knowledge……..but I am on a leg and glute improvement mission right now………so, maybe to do a glute bridge with 200 plus pounds? Already at 140 : ))))

    4/ Close your eyes and teleport? no contest……….somewhere warm with a beach because I hate winter

    5/ Become an object and why? I’m stumped on this one………..but I’m going to take some liberties with the question and say I would like to be a mountain. They are enduring, majestic, shelter all sorts of life, inspire me to want to reach the peak, plus they have all of my favorite things, trees, rocks and water.

    Hope you have a great start of the week.

    1. Favorite band. Bon Jovi. I had everything of them. Currently they are letting me down with their music development, but I am a huge fan.

    2.Appliance. Washing machine and DVD.

    3. My goal. Reading, there are so many great classic and not classic books out there I must read, so many stories and knowledge. I need to start reading way more.

    4. I would teleport my self to my childhood, to enjoy my mom and be close to her and my family.

    5.I would be a book, a classic one, like “Gone with the wind” or “Pride and prejudice”, a book of poems of Pablo Neruda. :)

    1. Do you have an absolute favorite band?
    Not quite, I’ve been really big into several bands before (like Breaking Benjamin and Green Day) but haven’t listened to those genres for quite some time now… so just old favorites. :)
    2. What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without?
    First of all, a phone… because no matter how much effort goes into face-time with friends and family, long-term separation is often inevitable, so speaking on the phone is the most immediate way to stay connected. Second choice would be a refrigerator, as it’d be really difficult to replace something that works 24/7 to preserve food.
    3. What is one goal you’re working on at the moment?
    Getting my life in general organized!!! Lol, it’s been one big cluster-frick lately. xD
    4. If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to?
    Same answer as jt– to see a dear friend. :)
    5. If you could become an object what would you be and why?
    A story book. :) The book itself can get old, mottled with marks and covered in dust from years forgotten, but I’ve delved into enough books like that, to know just how (emotionally) profound and timeless a great story really is. And it’s fitting, cause every person’s life is a unique story. :)

    Hello everyone, this is my first time joining Monday Mingle so here goes:

    A – I have many depending on my moods, at the moment I am very much into Linkin Park saw then live recently and they seemed to be stuck inside my brain. :) in General its Chevelle, Florence + the Machine, Marilyn Manson, lets narrow it down to good Rock Alternative Bands! :)

    B – An appliance….my GHD…hair straigthner, I have frizzy hair ..need I say more

    C – My goal right now is to finish my studies to become a Personal Trainer in SA. I am studying from home as I have 2 little boys, 3 and 1 and it is taking a bit longer than expected, but this is my main focus and hopefully if all goes well I will be certified in another 3 months,

    D – Telleport to San Francisco USA, I have never been there, but I for some reason it is calling out to me, sounds weird I know, but its looks like a lovely place to stay

    E – A Cruise Liner, floating on the ocean from Port to Port seeing the world…that would be amazing

    Hello! Let´s mingle! =D

    1. Favourite band? Oh yes, my favourite band is HIM, it´s a Finnish love metal band. I have been in love with them for a decade so far. =D Other music interests come and go, but HIM stays in my heart, always.

    2. House appliance? Coffee maker! I love my coffee, I don´t want to be without it. =D

    3. Goals? To be such a great writer, that someday, I will get my own book published.

    4. Teleporting? Because it´s winter around here at the moment, so I think I would teleport myself somewhere warm. Not too warm! Maybe New Zealand or Australia. Or Japan. (Though I don´t know what kind of wheather there is at the moment, but I don´t care. I can always teleport myself back.=D What the heck, I just stay there no matter what. )

    5. Object? No thank you. I don´t think that I would like to be an object. =D

    Not really, one day I like it more funky the other day more classic ^-^
    House appliance you can’t live without?
    My microwave-oven, I dont have a real oven <.<
    What goal are you working toward?
    I wanna get minimum a visible 2-Pack (I love to eat, thats why I dont have it right now xD ) of my ABS
    If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to and why?
    To austria, vienne my "real" home. Its now 2 and 1/2 year that I havn't seen my parents (just per skype).
    If you could become an object what would you be and why?
    mmh .. I never thought about it. But I guess an element like the wind/water maybe. I love it, to sit on the sea (when its more warm here) and to listen the wind moving the water in the sea.

    1) Do you have an absolute favorite band? I like Green Day’s songs :) but no fav brand. My sis is playing electronic guitar, so she might come up with a new one !

    2) What is the house appliance or any appliance that you cannot live without? My gymboss? :) LoL ! I use it almost everyday, even whike studying! I like to study with taking some breaks in between- 50min of Focus & Concentration, then 10min break. 2 Rounds of these & then 30min “Big break” to let my brainkind of recharge again :) I also LOVE my Griller, I cook my Fish in it :) saves so much time & you can get so creative with it- Veggies, even roots like Yams & potatoes- they all cook so well & it’s always turns out Deeelicious !

    3) What is one goal you’re working on at the moment? ( it can be anything at all )- getting closer with my friends, I’m working on my social level & also I work on my Consciousness & my mind. I try to notice my Energy level throughout the day.

    4) If you can close your eyes right now where would you teleport your self to? to the Heavens ;) or just a calm, green, natural wild jungle to chill in..

    5) If you could become an object what would you be and why? I would be a bed.
