Twisted Toe Touch Exercise

Abs Exercises

I’ve tried this new exercise yesterday that’s I’ve never done before, I’ve never seen anyone else do it either, so I might of been the inventor of it ;).
My obliques were so sore today, like they haven’t been in a long time.
The key to this exercise is a proper form and good balance. If you’ve never done it before it’s best you practice first.

Start by getting into a plank position like this:

Your body should be in one line and your abs should be engaged. From here, you will balance and twist your body to one side, your leg will lift straight from the inside and you will touch your toe with the opposite arm. Like this:

Return to the starting position, and do the same on the other side.

I did this exercise as part of my Interval Training Routine. I always use different intervals for all of my routines. In yesterday’s workout where I included this exercise, I did 8 exercises 1 minute each, for the total of 3 rounds. So the whole workout took me about 24 minutes ( I also do a 10 -15 seconds rest in between ).

If you are a beginner, this would be way too much, so I would recommend doing exercises like this one in rounds without a timer: 20 reps for the total of 3 or 4 rounds.
